But once the game starts, and you are presented with the whole "I need to take out X, but I can only do it from position B, and I am currently at A!", you quickly find out, that stealth approach is really not a suitable approach. Now, this really confused me, because the tutorial teaches you to be a sneaky bastard. What i really didn't like, though, was the strategy approach. And of course, the x-ray kill cam was cool. One of my favourite parts of the game mechanics where the ballistics (which are apparently only used in 'Sniper Elite' difficulty, I later found out?), the whole idea of having to adjust aim for wind and bullet-drop was really cool - i especially enjoyed no aim-assistance mechanics being available, like the ghost cross-hairs you see in Sniper: Ghost Warrior. So the idea of sneaking around and being a badass sniper appealed to me. The last year I've gotten more into the stealth genre, starting with Dishonored, moving onto Hitman: Absolution and Splinter Cell: Blacklist. Now, the concept of the game itself I really enjoyed. I completed it on the hardest difficulty, something I usually don't attempt with games, but I knew it would be a while before I'd get another pc game, since I'm prioritizing my money differently atm. So, I recently finished Sniper Elite V2 after it was available for free for 24 hours.
